Bell Ringing
Originally built in Norman times, the present tower dates from 1409 and stands proudly visible across the village. It houses 7 bells which are rung by our friendly group of bellringers every Sunday to welcome people to the 9.30 service and of course to the great festival services. They are also rung to celebrate state occasions.
The ringers also meet every week on a Wednesday evening starting at 7pm for a practice, lots of laughs and chats, while (importantly) continuing to develop their technique.
We are also pleased to host visiting bellringing groups and as part of competitions.
You are warmly invited to get in touch at Bells@lympstonechurch.org if you would like to learn and master the arts of bell ringing!
