Privacy & Data Protection Policy

Lympstone Parish Church is committed to keeping safe any personal data held in computers used by the church.

The processing of personal data is governed by [the Data Protection Bill/Act 2017 the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and other legislation relating to personal data and rights such as the Human Rights Act 1998].

Lympstone Church holds data on its ChurchSuite administrative database and uses this data for church activities and communication both internally and in summarised form with the Diocese for the Electoral Roll.

Your personal data – what is it?

“Personal data” is for example a name, photographs, videos, email address, or address about a living individual which allows them to be identified from that data.
Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information.
