Local Schools

The church is directly concerned with local education. The Rector is ex-officio a governor of Lympstone Church of England Primary School and he, or (in his place) a member of the church with educational expertise attends governor’s meetings. When opportunities arise to take assemblies or go into classes we take these up.

The Primary School holds assemblies and services in the church on a regular basis and the clergy attend these as appropriate.

The Beacon School in Exmouth is another Church School within the Mission Community. Its current head is a member of the church.

Many children from Lympstone Primary School go on to Exmouth College where the Mission Community has appointed a Chaplain.
