Music

We know that music plays an important part in worship for most of us, but also that there are many different styles in peoples’ preferences.

We have a fine organ and a choir too. These are central to our services of Holy Communion using the “Common Worship” prayer book.

At the “Journey” services (alternating with “Common Worship”) our music, led by a band, is more contemporary. Guitars, keyboard, saxophone, flute, clarinet, all support our lead singers.

Our candlelight Festival of Carols before Christmas is an important event in village life which attracts about 200 people.

In addition to this we host village musical events and concerts, both amateur and professional: soloists, choral, organ music, ensembles. The acoustics in the church are excellent, and the setting inspiring.

We are always keen for more singers and musicians to join us!

When there are events coming up, you’ll find them here.
