Our church supports the local community in important life events such as christenings (or baptisms), weddings and funerals.

    Baptism (sometimes called “christening”) is a special way to welcome people into the church family. It’s a sign of new life, a new start. It’s also a confession of faith, of hope and love.

    A church is a special and historic place to be married in. It is a place to be conscious of God’s love surrounding us, and underpinning our human love. The wedding service with its prayers and promises and joy becomes not only a unique memory but also a strength on the day itself and into the months and years ahead.

    Being able to help and support families through sad times and the loss of loved ones is a privilege. In times of bereavement there are seldom easy answers or solutions for grief. But the Christian hope and assurance is that in the Resurrection of Jesus we have the promise of a new and better life, life without sorrow or mourning.
