Lympstone Environmental Action Day - Saturday 17 May

Lympstone's Environmental Action Day is taking place on Saturday 17 May 2025 between 11am and 3pm in the church and on Front Meadow opposite.

Wild About Lympstone (WAL) is working together with a number of village groups to offer a range of fun and interesting displays and activities focused on protecting and enhancing our local environment for nature, health and wellbeing:

1000 Plant Giveaway

- organised by Heathfield Allotment Trust and back by popular demand.

Displays and activities t o explore:

  • Devon Wildlife Trust gardening for wildlife; giving away Wildlife Garden Awards!
  • Lympstone Water Quality Group, Water Guardians and partners, updating you on their work to protect our beautiful Wotton Brook and Exe Estuary.
  • Hands on water quality testing in the Brook.
  • Chat to our school children about their inspiring work around nature.
  • Fun bird facts and activities with Brian (RSPB).
  • Swift tours up t h e church tower. Find out about the Devon Swift Project and sign up to be a swift monitor.
  • Play the Ecogame and discover how we can all reduce our carbon footprint.
  • A hands-on biodiversity survey.
  • Beautiful nature-based art activities.
  • Recharging and connecting with nature on our wellbeing village walk.
  • Contribute to Lympstone's vision a s a place where nature and people thrive.
  • Place a bid in our silent auction for Louise Banks' original artwork of the Lympstone Wildlife map.
