Week of 28 June 2026

Welcome to the week's Worship Weekly

Welcome to the Worship Weekly for the week starting Sunday 28 June 2026.

I do hope that you are managing to stay cool(ish), hydrated and safe during this extended period of very warm weather.

This Saturday, Revd. Heidi Budden is being priested at Exeter Cathedral and then on Sunday, with Revd. Steve Jones, she will be leading the Joint Community Service at Lympstone Church where we will be welcoming the congregations from Holy Trinity, Exmouth, and St Margaret and St Andrews Church, Littleham to worship and to celebrate Heidi’s new, elevated status.

Another reason to celebrate is the resurrection of ‘Under The Bridge’, the Produce Stall under the Railway Arch on a Saturday morning, where donations from the allotments, gardens or local kitchens (!) are sold to raise funds for Lympstone Church. Many of you will remember this fantastic way to pick up fresh, local produce while benefitting the local and national charities supported by the Church in doing so. Under The Bridge will recommence on Saturday 11 July…please see the poster on the Worship Weekly and also those around the village.

Upcoming Sunday Services

On Sunday 28 June at 08.00 Demelza Henderson will lead the Morning Prayer Service.

At 09.30 Revds Steve Jones and Heidi Budden will lead a JOINT MISSION COMMUNITY service at our Church in Lympstone. This will also be a celebration of Heidi’s priesting the day before at Exeter Cathedral.

On Sunday 5 July at 08.00 Basil Strickland will lead the Morning Prayer Service. As this is also the first Sunday of the month, there will also be coffee and biscuits following the service at he rear of the Church, grâce à Colin and Gillian Hoskins.

At 09.30 Revd Steve Jones will lead the Journey Service on the subject of ‘A Prophetic Community’.

Requests for Prayers

If you would like prayers to be said during a Sunday service and/or at the Thursday Prayer Group for a friend or relative needing prayer, please send an email to PrayersLymCh@excc.church. Alternatively, those who don’t want to email can post a message in the Prayer Requests Box at the Church entrance using the supply of cards attached to the box.  In both instances, please include your name so that we can verify the request.

If you would prefer prayers to be said privately, rather than in the services, please request the prayers to be said at the Thursday Prayer Group ONLY.   Prayers said in this meeting are confidential and will be said every Thursday while the group feels it is still necessary.  If you have any questions or feel you would like to join the group, please speak to Chris Kleinstuber, who leads the Prayer Group each Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Lady Chapel.
