Week Commencing 7 December 2025
Welcome to the week's Worship Weekly
Please find attached your Worship Weekly. This Sunday is the second Sunday in Advent and you will have seen the Nativity Characters gathering around the village to make their way to the Church (M&J and the Donkey at Pretty Corner yesterday). Keep a look out for them as they progress!
The Christmas Tree Festival in the Church is also going ‘great guns’ with lots of Christmas Tress decorated by Lympstone’s village groups…well worth a visit.
The Christmas Tree festival culminates on Sunday with a Family Concert at 5 p.m.. Wendy Reynolds has been drilling the choir who are ready and in good voice to entertain you for an hour of appropriately festive songs. Come along, free entry, join in with your favourites.
If you are coming to the Nine Lessons and Carols on Monday 15 December at 7 p.m., it is recommended that you bring a torch to light-up your carol sheets; the candles will be lit, but the main church will be in atmospheric darkness.

Sunday Service Prayers
If you would like prayers to be said for village residents during a Sunday service, please fill out a card and put it in the ‘prayer requests box’ at the back of church. You must state at the top of the card that it is for reading out in Church and include your name so that the team can verify from where the request has come; the prayer group will treat the prayer requests in the box as confidential. If you have any questions, please speak to Chris Kleinstuber, who leads the Community Prayer hour each Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Lady Chapel.
